Very brief overview of Day 33/34 results and Finals day 1+2

Day 33+34 results:

Going through each of the unlocked teams at the time. We’ll start off with Krawk Island.
Krawk Island defeated Lost Desert and Roo Island to secure their spot in the top 4.

Lost Desert’s enemies remain classic as Shenkuu took a much desired spot in third tier, and Mystery Island put a halt to those third tier dreams.

Shenkuu and Brightvale’s positions remained unchanged, their only competitors failed failingly to collect the needed points, despite Brightvale and Shenkuu being thoroughly beaten themselves.

Maraqua pulled through their matches of Shenkuu and Roo Island with straight sweeps to secure their final spot in the top tier.

Finals Round 1:

Tier 1:
Kreludor versus Krawk Island
Virtupets versus Maraqua

Tier 2:
Meridell versus Terror Mountain
Darigan Citadel versus Tyrannia

Tier 3:
Haunted Woods versus Shenkuu
Roo Island versus Brightvale

Tier 4:
Lost Desert versus Faerieland
Mystery Island versus Kiko Lake

Tier 5:
Moltara versus Altador

Analysis:

So, this is what we’ve been waiting for. Let’s work backwards.

Easily, the results of these matches will end in Moltara’s favour. Altador has yet to win or even draw a yooyuball game, so Altador could end up in last place.

Mystery Island can easily defeat Kiko Lake, but the future of Lost Desert versus Faerieland is uncertain. Faerieland won against Lost Desert last time they met, so Faerieland could very well take it.

Roo Island has the strength to defeat Brightvale, but Brightvale has been known to pull the force when needed. Likewise, Haunted Woods has the strength to defeat Shenkuu (God willing), but Shenkuu can pull at upset like last time they met.

Meridell and Darigan can easily defeat their respective teams on the yooyuball field, but will need to be wary of the punch these two teams could pack.

When Krawk Island and Kreludor faced off in the double round robin, Kreludor swept them in the first round, and Krawk won the match with a yooyuball win in the second. The odds are Kreludor will pull to take the hope away from the Krawks, but Krawk Island could pull a surprise and go in the running for second (PS. If Krawk Island get on the podium, new art WILL need to be drawn, because KI has a new captain. Just sayin’)

Both times Virtupets faced Maraqua in the round robin, they lost. However, I would still go and say these teams are of equal strength. Both teams are extremely scary to face, but it’s the yooyuball where all the attention of both teams will be focused. Both want it badly, one for being stuck in 5th for two years, one for being a runaway, coming from last place in the second cup, and now in the running for first. Interestingly enough, it would seem Lamelle Turow is a good luck charm. When he joined Lost Desert, they burst into top 4. The same has happened to Maraqua.

Early final standings predictions:
1. Virtupets/Kreludor/Maraqua
2. Kreludor/Maraqua/Virtupets
3. Maraqua/Virtupets
4. Krawk Island
5. Meridell
6. Darigan Citadel
7. Tyrannia
8. Terror Mountain
9. Roo Island
10. Haunted Woods
11. Brightvale
12. Shenkuu
13. Mystery Island
14. Lost Desert/Faerieland
15. Faerieland/Lost Desert
16. Kiko Lake
17. Moltara
18. Altador

  1. MQ FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or KD

    • exactly what I wanted 🙂

      • ive always liked MQ and RI theres just something about them. i would’ve joined MQ in AC 3 but i “accidentally” joined BV.if i had i probably would’ve been on MQ all the way up till now.

      • sorry, if i hadn’t.

  2. Why does everyone think HW is going to beat us? :/ Because we lucked out with MI vs. LD?

Give me a break. If we got 4th tier, it would have been because of sides, not YYB, and YYB is what matters in the Finals.

    • Personally, I think Haunted Woods can pull it together. They are strong, and unpredictable.

      • Fair enough. :/ I guess it just motivates me to prove everyone wrong, then. :p That SK is NOT a 4th tier team in the 3rd tier, that SK is NOT just lucky that MI nearly swept LD.

      • That, and I don’t think HW is *that* much stronger than us, like everyone seems to think. :/ I’ll give you sides, sure, because – not gonna lie – SK sucked at the sides this year. But YYB is all that matters in the Finals, and HW is only one spot ahead of us. And they’re only ahead because of draws, not wins.

But I could be wrong. I tend to overestimate my team at times, I’m not going to pretend I don’t.

      • Well, judging by this result of the first day of Finals, Shenkuu could gain 12th spot afterall.

And they are lucky come to think of it. Not because of the MI vs LD match, but more that LD faced their greatest weakness when they did. If that makes sense. 🙂

  3. Haunted woods will beat shenukuu with a win in yooyu ball and a side game. Meridell (my team) will beat terror mountain with wins in yooyu ball and slushie slinger
